What a wonderful day at Birch Rock! For two cabins it started out strangely, because when they woke up their councilor had been replaced. Hilton A was surprised to see Jeff N-K in their cabin while Pete’s Palace woke up with Jonah K in Jeff’s bed. It’s a complete mystery how the midnight phantom pulled this off. After a hearty breakfast of breakfast sandwiches and hashbrowns, campers took advantage of the nice weather in the morning. Down at the waterfront, Luke Rodman completed his loon!

Tuesday lunch can only mean one thing: Tacos!! Everyone enjoyed this delicious meal made even better with a special avocado sauce created by the kitchen’s own Sam Cluggish. Unfortunately, the weather struck again in the afternoon, although the waterfront was entertained by a rousing game of mafia (won incredibly by mafia members Jamie C. and Niko T.) all while the field enjoyed games in the lodge. After another delicious meal of pasta and goulash, everyone expected an indoor evening activity due to the weather. However, Zak announced that we were able to play Orb! Up on the hill orbs were flying, kids were running around and dodging, while general merriment was being had. A small rain shower brought the game to a slight early close, and campers played some board games in their cabins before drifting off to a peaceful and restful sleep.
