Campers jumping into the lake.

From the beginning to the end – our 98th season has been moving at warp-speed with action, adventure, camaraderie, connection, engagement,  euphoria, humor, humidity, foodees, friendships, and fun.  We have all engaged in the privilege of being part of this unique camp community on the shores of McWain Hill in Waterford, ME.  We have listened and learned.  We have tried new activities, and met new people from all over the world.  We indulged ourselves with Jon’s homemade cooking, and were spoiled with too many delicious desserts by our talented baker.  We have embraced each other’s strengths, and learned how to be tolerant and understanding of our weaknesses. We have taken pride daily in making our beds with hospital corners, and found comfort in the pristine waters of Lake McWain.  We have embraced championing civility and learned the importance of knowing how to ask for help.

Birch Rockers have rallied on top of our hillside for evening activity engaging in a plethora of new games while decompressing from a full day of activities and life lessons.  We have explored new mountains and lakes in Maine, and pushed ourselves to embrace Mother Nature’s natural treasures.  We have all become more self-confident, and discovered what independence can be.  We have detoxed from technology and embraced human connection and robust conversation.   We have been safe and found new satisfactions of lifelong learning, and built a stronger foundation for ourselves.  We have grown as individuals and created an experience we’ll never forget.

May the spirit of Birch Rock Camp be with you!  Let us all continue to

Look-Up, Laugh, Love and Lift!
