Centennial Celebration

One hundred years, and one very good weekend.

To everyone who came back to Lake McWain for the Centennial — alumni, staff past and present, families, volunteers, and donors — thank you. You filled the Lodge, told your stories, and stayed up for the campfire. Your gifts through the auctions go directly to camper scholarships and the preservation of this campus.

A hundred years isn’t automatic. Birch Rock is still here because generation after generation decided it should be.

Help the Other Fellow. This weekend, you did.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! We’d love to see you, no matter how briefly. Advance registration is still required but we have pro-rated fees depending on what portion of the weekend you will attend. Please contact us at (207) 330-6297 or [email protected] for more info!

The Grand Centennial Celebration will be bigger and more intricate the past reunions… after all, you only turn 100 once! The higher registration fee is reflective of the grander experience than other reunions.

Your registration fees include:

  • Catered dinners on Friday and Saturday evening
  • Complimentary beer, wine, and specialty cocktails (for those 21+) on Friday and Saturday evenings during Salty Snacks and dinner
  • A temporary special space for meals constructed on the sport fields to accommodate our anticipated attendance (the lodge cannot fit everyone, so we have to build one for the weekend!)
  • Entertainment on Saturday night
  • Increased infrastructure (ex. extra toilets) to accommodate our anticipated attendance

We understand that the cost to attend the reunion may be prohibitive for some, and we want to help ensure that everyone who would like to attend can do so. There are a few ways we have established to assist with the financial burden:

  1. When you register online you have the option to make a partial payment now, and the remainder approximately one month prior to the event.
  2. We have scholarships available to help offset or completely cover the cost of your registration. Please contact us at [email protected] to request assistance.

If you are an alum who has the financial capacity to make a contribution to help offset the cost of attendance for another Birch Rocker, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a donation.

We understand that plans change. If you cancel by July 14, 2026 you will receive a full refund for your registration. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds to those who cancel after July 14th as we will have already made non-refundable payments on things like catering and equipment that are based on our confirmed guest count on that date.

Yes! We will have designated toilets and showers for women. We will provide more information on this upon check-in.

We are not planning to have an organized children’s program for the weekend. What that means is that parents will be responsible for supervising and occupying your children. While some activities will have projects geared towards children, parents are still responsible for participating with and traveling the grounds with their children.

For those age 21 and older, alcohol will be served during Salty Snacks and Dinner on both Friday and Saturday nights. The bar is being staffed by professional catering/bartending staff. The cost of your beverages is included. Please note, we will provide wrist bands to those 21+ however you should still plan to bring your ID to Salty Snacks and dinner each night. Bartenders reserve the right to ask for identification to confirm your age. Alcohol consumption is permitted during designated times and in designated areas only.

For the safety of all Centennial Celebration guests and your dog, we ask that you do not bring your dog to camp. Service animals are permitted but please let us know in advance by email [email protected]

Absolutely! We will have dedicated golf cars and other vehicles, driven by camp staff, dedicated to transporting anyone who needs support getting around camp.

There is a list of those confirmed to attend is linked at the top of the registration form pages. It is updated every week so check back often to see who is coming.

If there is someone who you know if planning to attend but don’t see on the list or someone whom you would like to encourage to attend, please reach out to them and send them to https://birchrockcamp.regfox.com/brc100 to register!
