What a wonderful opening day!  From the warm sunny weather to the much anticipated arrival of the campers, Birch Rock was abuzz this morning.  The staff was eager to meet new faces, see old friends and haul some trunks.  After a delicious lunch we bade the parents farewell and got the summer underway.  A rousing game of blob tag, speed rabbit and capture the flag was followed by a brisk dip in the lake.  The evening bell sounded for tree talk where everyone had an opportunity to introduce themselves to the community.  After the long day the whole camp was serenaded by a rendition of Taps by our resident bugler, Ben G.
