Rise and shine! Oh wait, rise and rain! Camp woke up to the soft drizzle of liquid sunshine on the cabins and across the hill. With that smell of fresh dew in the morning and a bell rung by Jack everyone was off to the day!

As the morning got going the drizzle continued. The waterfront was glistened by the light mist and foggy hills. The views from a canoe in the middle of the lake were fantastic. Especially for the two seals sent out! Max M. and Javier S. both swam their seals in the misty morning in an incredible time.

As the day went on badges were flying and the rain kept coming. By lunch time a special announcement was made: Campfire is tonight! And it’s the Oscar’s! Skits and campers will be awarded Oscar’s for their creativity and performance.

With the exciting news people got off to finishing their skits during second rest. When we all got to flag pole the energy was amped and ready… but wait? Is that MWA!?!? Yup, right before dinner MWA made a surprise return to join us a day early. They were celebrated and congratulated for their return. After dinner we saw some of the best skit performances of the year. Including a genius JC skit musical referencing our waterfront director Jonah. As it all wound down we sang a hit the hay as we say goodbye to our last campfire of the summer. As these days wind down, we’ll be seeing a lot of lasts. All we can do is enjoy every last bit before our summer ends.
