For the first time in several days the sky was clear, the air was warm, and everyone was excited for one of our few sunny days so far this summer.

The waterfront was especially popular today as campers dove in gleefully to try and beat the heat. Ranging from activities like sailing, canoeing, and kayaking to splashing around during general and instructional swims, everyone wanted to hop into the water.

On the field, though hot, the campers applied plenty of sunscreen and drank lots of water, still having fun.

At lunch, camp was visited by the Jolly Green Giant and the Pickle Brothers, sworn nemeses. They handed out greens and pickles respectively, and all of camp had fun watching their rivalry in the middle of the grove.

For evening activity, Julien Nesher picked out and announced the evening activity, ORB! Camp ran around on the field, throwing “orbs” and making alliances, all in the fun of the game. Camp ended the day with a sunset general swim, and all enjoyed one last dip in the water.

Today showed hope for future sunny days at camp, and everyone is excited for the rest of the week!
