It was a scorcha up here in Waterford! After a delicious and sweet breakfast of muffins, sausages, and homemade cinnamon toast crunch treats, campers made their way to their morning activities. The waterfront was alive and thriving with people beating the heat, and other activities stayed hydrated and had fun at the same time. Shoutout to Yago Cespedes and Bosco Torre de Silva for swimming their loons and Vincent Rong for swimming his duck! In the afternoon, after an amazing lunch of chicken patty sandwiches, the fun in the sun continued. Some activities decided to stay extra cool and moved down to the waterfront. There was volleyball in the cradles, diving lacrosse catches off the raft, spear fishing using noodles instead of archery, actual fishing from nature, and “watershop” instead of woodshop.

While all this was happening, the otters returned safely from their expeditions into the Maine wilderness. After an extra long general swim and much needed second rest, campers arrived to flagpole expecting another meal made by John and the kitchen crew. To their surprise, there was nothing prepared, because it was cabin night!!! Cabins split off to different firepits and enjoyed cooking and eating Maine pink hotdogs and s’mores. The campers enjoyed their own evening games by cabins before drifting off to sleep dreaming of more sun tomorrow.
