What a wonderful Tuesday at Birch Rock Camp! Our breakfast menu this morning consisted of cream of wheat, fruit, yogurt, eggs, and homemade fresh cinnamon rolls! Jon and the kitchen always do a wonderful job and make sure we’re fueled up and ready to go! We had good luck with the weather this morning, the rain held off and eventually the sun came out, and Camp was buzzing with activity. Campers are already hard at work and hit the ground running earning badge parts and badges this 1st week. Nathan M earned his Bowman badge today, and Aden R hauled a kayak up the hill and back to earn a badge part for his advanced kayaking badge.

Lunch today was a Camp favorite, taco Tuesday! After lunch, Dustcover Dave gave camp the inspection report for the morning. Camp looked great, especially with it still being the first week. After dinner for evening activity, lower Camp played speed ball and upper Camp played ultimate frisbee. The final speedball score was 113 to 112 – very close competition!

The 100th summer is off to an incredible start and we are excited for what’s ahead. Campers are looking forward to lawn games wiffle ball with Alvaro tomorrow, and Half Christmas Eve is tomorrow as well! We are expecting lots of Christmas fun – caroling, stockings, Christmas cookies, Santa, Reindeer, and so much more!
