Ding….

That’s it! The moment we’ve all been waiting for. The first morning bell of the summer is finally here!  100th summer here we go, buckle up! 

What a special place to be for the summer. While listening to introductions I was thinking of how lucky we are to be able to come to such a beautiful place. Where else can you learn to shoot arrows, sail boats and dress up silly and be foolish on stage?  

Birch Rock is a place where we can come to get away from the big world and be apart of a small community of caring individuals.  We can try new things and mess up and Birch Rockers are there for support. 

We get to learn and play surrounded by beautiful nature. The view while shooting hoops has to be one of the most scenic hoop views in the world! It’s been cold at night and the fresh air is awesome for sleeping and no worries we have plenty of blankets.  

Everyone spoke so well tonight by the fire at the rock. People are excited for everything from the food to the lake to evening activity to hiking to getting their senior lacrosse badge.  The one common theme was getting to know people. That’s the best. Campers and staff young and old shared their excitement to make new friends and see old ones.  We’re here to have a great time together and I can’t wait! Game on!
