Sun Showers!- July 22nd Blog
Posted by: Logan Landry
Today began with a grey foggy morning on Lake McWain. The mist rolling across the water made for a peaceful start to the day, setting the perfect backdrop for another memorable day at camp.
Tasty breakfast sandwiches kept our campers well fed and ready for whatever the day had in store. While beautiful rain showers forced our field activities indoors, they certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. The energy around camp remained high as campers and staff found plenty of ways to stay entertained. Lake McWain was shining!
The playful rivalry between the waterfront and the field continued throughout the day. Jonah and Noah squared off in an intense game of stump, and the waterfront crew boldly claimed the woodshop building as their own. No matter where you looked, campers were laughing, staff was smiling and our voices were bold!
Despite the changing weather, it was another truly beautiful day at Birch Rock.
Dinner sparked one of camp’s favorite traditions: a passionate debate among the staff over the greatest meals in Birch Rock history. Tonight’s menu made a strong case for the top spot. The Philly cheesesteaks were a huge hit, earning rave reviews from both campers and staff alike. Staff expressed vehemently about their top hits, many ooo’s and ahhh’s to go around.
We wrapped up the evening with a true camp classic: Orb. It was the perfect way to end the day, with everyone running, laughing, and cheering until the very end. A good time was had by all, and we’re looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings.
Let’s hit the hay lads.
