Wow, just wow! What an incredible day to cap off the end of our first session.

We warmed up our engines with some creamy cinnamon rolls (with extra cinnamon, of course), preparing us for the epic day ahead.

TRIATHLON, TRIATHLON, TRIATHLON! That’s one shout for every event in our annual competition, where only the bravest senior campers participate to see who can become a legend and land on the podium, joining an elite group of Birch Rockers. This year, Nathan M. led the charge, coming out of the water first with Lukas J. hot on his heels. After a swift transition into dry clothes, Nathan held onto his lead while Ethan N. rode hard right behind him. For the final leg of the event, Emmett C. weaved his way like a rocket all the way into first place, crossing the finish line with an outstanding time to claim the top spot on the podium! Nathan M. took home a well-deserved second place, and Lukas J. rounded things out in third.

Moving on to the afternoon activity, we debuted an unprecedented, never-before-done, completely novel game: Full-Camp 4-Core. Each team started with four different types of balls, and the goal was to get four of the exact same kind onto your side. After an hour-long defensive gridlock, all four teams decided to raid each other’s zones at the exact same time, resulting in a chaotic, legendary four-way draw!

Despite the windy weather, we didn’t let the elements stop us from hitting the waterfront. Julian M. completed his Loon and Alex Y. conquered his Seal, both battling the sea-like waves of our beautiful lake.

To close out an amazing first session, we held our traditional badge ceremony to honor our campers’ hard-earned badges and stars. We had some incredible standouts, including Logan W., who racked up an amazing seven badges in just one session!

Here’s to an unforgettable First Session! Thank you for all the memories and happiness you brought to camp this year. We can’t wait to see what Second Session has in store!
