This broadcast is coming to you live from the interdimensional cable news channel, BRC-1.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to your regularly scheduled program. Today marked the last full Saturday at camp and the end of an epic and action-packed week 6! We could not believe our eyes (and our mouths) when we walked into the lodge this morning to see Eddie’s Breakfast Balls glistening in the early morning light as they were laid gently across our tray stands. Campers ate them up faster than a Hiltonite devouring Dippin’ Dots at a cabin party. We were so grateful for our amazing kitchen staff and all the hard work they put in to make our meals delicious, nutritious, and always creative.

Today also marked the end of the BRC soccer clinic, a collaboration between Birch Rock and one of our amazing alumnus, Ben Brewster, the head Coach at Bates College over in Lewiston. The players traveled to Bates this morning to play on their field, take a tour of the campus, and experience the unlimited soft-serve ice cream in the dining hall. It was also reported that every camper improved on their metrics like juggles, push-ups, free kicks, and their mile times. The boys worked incredibly hard and we could not be prouder!

It also was a day where badges were flying out across the waterfront (and waterfront adjacent activities) with Robben N and James L both swimming their Ducks, the brothers Will B got his Deckhand and Drew B got his Sr. Naturalist, and Noah O received his Jr. Campcraft badge!

Sadly, today also marked the end of Cubs III, and seven of our new and very brave campers left after getting a taste of the fun. We hope to see them next year!

Finally, the day ended with maybe the best campfire of the season. The theme, while somewhat confusing, produced some amazing skits. “Interdimensional Cable” saw skits ranging from How to Catch a Human to 4 Halves of Freakball to a talk therapy session between the Waterfront Director, Jonah and the Field Director, Noah. This campfire also saw the final installment of the DPCU (Dogpatch Cinematic Universe), where the fabled Blood tank top was finally removed from Sheriff Goodman, and burned in a real fire to lift the curse the subpar rapper had laid upon the members of the cabin. Overall, it was electric.
