Today was the type of day where camp felt just perfect. We had great weather, great food, and great fun. Smiles were radiant, and badges flew out across the board.

We had some great omelets for breakfast, as well as “moatmeal,” otherwise known as maple oatmeal. First and second period were stellar, as the LCs practiced their CPR for their lifeguard course and the Moose swimmers perfected their rotary breathing in front crawl. General swim/freetime brought an epic doubles tennis match that included great play from Tom C, Mateo R, and Javier S.

Lunch was mac and cheese Monday, and we enjoyed some amazing lemon squares for dessert. Shortly after, Tom C swam his Seal, an impressive accomplishment! In addition, Jax E. earned his Junior Art Badge, Lukas J. his Deckhand (Junior Sailing), And Sam F. finished his Williams (Junior Lacrosse) in an impressive one period.

We were treated to the Semanas Ice Cream Window during Snack, and the kids got to choose between rocket pops, ice cream sandwiches, and fudgesicles. What a blast! Alvaro began the Centathalon, a continuous first session challenge of 100 games/activities meant to represent our 100th year theme of the summer. The first game was the cracker whistle, in which all the lower campers loaded up with saltines and attempted to whistle through the mouthfuls. It was a great sight to see!

The vibes were high at dinner, and we celebrated the day’s accomplishments while enjoying some delicious food. We finished out the night with a great game of Orb, and an excellent rendition of Let’s Hit the Hay.
