Milestones, Soccer Skills, and Cabin Night Magic- July 28th Blog
Posted by: Logan Landry
What a wild and wonderful day of meals and milestones here at camp! We kicked things off with an amazing breakfast pizza, perfectly wrapped up by Sam F. ringing the bell. From there, it was straight into a highly successful morning: all of Bees Hive completed their Junior Sailing badges, and Arlo earned his Junior Naturalist badge!
Lunch brought us an incredible Taco Tuesday feast featuring a plethora of salsas. It was over tacos that we finally put the rumors to rest, discovering that LeBron is not going to the White Sox, but is instead heading to the 76ers. Refueled and ready, the cabins tightened up their already immaculate spaces before we hit a beautifully gusty McWain Pond. Up on the field, soccer training was in full swing. Tully from Bates College passed along some critical skills he’s acquired from his own college playing career.
After a fun-filled afternoon, we gathered at the flagpole anticipating another crazy dining hall meal—only to be surprised by Cabin Night! Every cabin split up across camp to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over open fires and dive into cabin activities. It was an amazing day, and we owe a massive thank you to the kitchen staff for all the hard work they do to keep us fueled.
