Wooo! It was another beautiful day at camp today. While camp was shrouded with a beautiful grey cloud cover, we still brought the same energy to the day ahead.

Today was our camp’s 100th birthday! For a century Birch Rock has been changing boys’ lives in so many meaningful ways. From teaching our boys what it means to be a true gentleman to developing physicality and confidence in and out of activities, our camp is always striving to better the lives of our campers and staff. Helping the other fellow is key.

We are a pack, we are one. Everyone here looks out for one another and it is truly a beautiful thing. Birch Rock is an incredible community. Values, good people, expertise and comradery are what makes camp oh so special. It’s amazing to see what it means to so many individuals.

The day was filled with excitement. From an interdimensional cable camp fire announcement, to beautiful soft rain, the day just kept on getting more magical. Campers enjoyed their activities across the hill. Several ducks went out today from campers like Matt L. and Nathaniel W., and badges like Senior Music earned by George C. were just some of the incredible achievements made today.

From tasty breakfast sandwiches with fruit and yogurt to an extravagant 100th birthday cake, our campers filled up on excellent food from the kitchen. We ate phenomenal food all day.

Our day ended with a birthday dinner! It featured speeches from administrators, campers and staff alike – touching on the importance of Birch Rock and showing appreciation for what it has provided to the world at a small and large scale. Campers enjoyed themed activities, lots of laughter and a strongly unifying feeling of brotherhood, respect and fun.

What an incredible day, a good time was had by all. One-hundred years and a hundred more!
